Mezzetto located at 161 East Houston St New York NY 10002 offers an amazing and delicious selection of small dishes that are typically served in Mediterranean cuisine. With a bistro-meets-tavern vibe, Mezetto puts a twist on the traditional.
Their Story :
Bahr Rapaport, Owner/Executive Chef
Bahr Rapaport has been working and expanding his experience in the hospitality industry from a young age. After obtaining a degree with a focus in Food & Beverage and Hospitality Management from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Rapaport honed his skills as a Food & Beverage Manager in Las Vegas working as an event and VIP services manager for large casinos and venues such as Indy Racing and NASCAR.
Rapaport moved to New York in 2008 where he managed the day to day operations of a 24 hour New York French Bistro, L’Express, before opening Mezetto with his business partner, Alon Moskovitch in late 2012.
Alon Moskovitch, Owner/Director of Operations
With over 10 years of New York restaurant experience, Alon Moskovitch comes to Mezetto with a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Institutional Management from Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island. Immediately after leaving school, Moskovitch was recruited by the Le Parker Meridien Hotel in New York as the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. Moskovitch decided to move to the private sector of the hospitality industry and had the opportunity to open the acclaimed Payard Patisserie & Bistro as the General Manager. Following his time at Payard, he has worked as the Director of Operations for the Tour de France Restaurant Group, overseeing multiple properties in NYC.
Together, Moskovitch and Rapaport seek to bring something entirely individual to the New York dining landscape in Mezetto.

OUR REVIEW : Mezzetto is the perfect place for afternoon / evening gatherings / meetings whether is business or personal you will fall in love with the atmosphere and friendly professional service from the staff, Jose the bartender made my experience one of a kind not only did he recommended an amazing and delicious option of the menu but he made me an amazing pineapple/coconut mojito to die for! I honestly wish we had a place like this in Washington Heights a very casual place to enjoy a simple summer day. One of the things that I loved the most about the restaurant was the big windows that were open while the fresh breeze came inside it truly made my experience as I was enjoying my drink one of a kind! the dinner menu was amazing.
The dish was lovely presented , cooked to perfection not dry , not over seasoned and I loved! the salad dressing very original and different from the typical salad dressing at common restaurants,if you are looking for a relaxed quiet brunch or business meetings mezzetto is the place for you! from couples , students , or business owners mezzetto has it all! I give this place an A+ I will like to thank Chef Bahr , Luis and Jose for the amazing service! you guys made my visit one of a kind! I had so much fun thank you so much for allowing us to visit your lovely restaurant my daughter and I had an amazing time .
